Cornelius was born about 1760 in , Currituck, North Carolina. Cornelius' father was Caleb Glasgow and his mother was Ruth Gascoe GREGORY. His paternal grandfather was WILLIAM GLASGOW and his paternal grandmother is SUSANNAH DAUGE; his maternal grandparents were RICHARD GREGORY and Margaret JONES. He had three brothers and a sister, named William, JESSE, Samuel and DORCAS. He was the second oldest of the five children. He died before 1830 in Davidson, TN.General Notes
