Thomas Gatewood 
Thomas was born about 1720 in Essex Co., Va. Thomas' father was Thomas GATEWOOD and his mother was Elizabeth Dudley. His paternal grandparents were John Gatewood and Amy Mc Graw; his maternal grandfather was Richard Dudley and his maternal grandmother is Elizabeth UNKNOWN. He had two brothers and four sisters, named Robert, Ambrose, Rachel, Amy, Elizabeth and Sarah. He died before February 3rd, 1745 in Halifax Co., Nc.General Notes
