Josiah was born on August 26th, 1672 in Watertown, Middlesex, Ma. Josiah's father was William GODDARD and his mother was Elizabeth MILES. His paternal grandparents were Edward GODDARD and Priscilla D'Oyley Or D'OYLY; his maternal grandparents are Benjamin MILES and Mrs. Elizabeth MILES. He had thirteen brothers and two sisters, named William, Thomas, Josiah, Joseph, Child, Child, Edward, Robert, Child, Child, Thomas, Benjamin, Edward, Elizabeth and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the sixteen children. He died at the age of 48 on November 19th, 1720 in Watertown, Mddlesex, Ma. He was buried in November 1720.General Notes
