Thomas GILLESPIE

Thomas was born about 1757 in Cowpasture River, Augusta, VA. Thomas' father was William GILLESPIE and his mother was Mary Clendenin. His paternal grandfather was James GILLESPIE; his maternal grandparents were ARCHIBALD CLENDENIN and Esther Ann Mayes. He had five brothers and three sisters, named ROBERT G., Simon, James, John, WILLIAM, MARY, Nancy Agnes and ELIZABETH. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died in 1842 in Tazewell, VA.
