James GATTON

James was born about 1780 in Of, Prince George, Md. James' father was Azariah GATTON and his mother was Elizabeth Humphries. His paternal grandparents were Thomas G GATTON and Elizabeth WATERS. He had three brothers and seven sisters, named Benjamin, Joseph H., Thomas, Nancy, Annjelene, Sally Ann, Betsy, Polly, Lurary and Patsey. He is the fifth oldest of the eleven children.
