Mary was born in 1764 and her baptism took place on March 18th, 1764 in Halifax, Yrkshr, England. Mary's father was Marmaduke (Duke) FIELDING and her mother is Elisabeth DISON. Her paternal grandfather is John FIELDEN and her paternal grandmother was Mary RILEY OR RYLY; her maternal grandparents are James DYSON and Mrs-James DYSON. She had five brothers and three sisters, named James, John, Eli, Marmaduke, Thomas, Elizabeth, Sarah and Ann. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
