Mary Lucretia was born on July 3rd, 1863 in Benton County, Iowa. Mary Lucretia's father was John S. EPPERSON and her mother was Nancy Ellen Forsyth. Her paternal grandparents were CHARLES EPPERSON and Martha WOOLERY. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Elmer Harrison, Julius E., Martha Jane, Alma A. and Florence Estella.
