Martha Jane was born on May 21st, 1851 in Benton County, Iowa. Martha Jane's father was John S. EPPERSON and her mother was Nancy Ellen Forsyth. Her paternal grandparents were CHARLES EPPERSON and Martha WOOLERY. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Elmer Harrison, Julius E., Alma A., Florence Estella and Mary Lucretia.
