Mary Allas was born on February 18th, 1865. Mary Allas' father was James Nelson Epperson and her mother was Martha Barnett. Her paternal grandfather was John Calvin Epperson and her paternal grandmother is Fanny Ogan. She had eight brothers and two sisters, named John A., William C., George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Henry C., James F., Charley Smith, Nelson Brownlow, Nancy M. and Allie Jane. She is the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
