Henry Clay Epperson 
Henry Clay was born on June 13th, 1898 in Grainger Co., TN (Note) Occup: Farmer. Henry Clay's father was George Washington Epperson and his mother was Rhoda "Rhodie" Greene. His paternal grandparents were James Nelson Epperson and Martha Barnett. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William Nelson, Charles T., Leonard, Clora, Laura, Mary, Tennessee and Stella. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died in Grainger Co., TN.General Notes
"Clay" Epperson lived to be 98 years old. He had 19 children. He was a
singing teacher at the local churches. He was a religious man and loved
to talk about the Bible. He was born in the house that he died in. He
lived ther most ofhis life and the house is still in the family. This
area of Tennessee is very beautiful, with mountains all around.
