Alice De Braose 
Alice was born in 1286 in Bramble or Gover, England.1 Alice's father was William De Braose and her mother is Aliva De Multon. Her paternal grandparents were John De Braose and Margred Verch Llewellyn. She had a brother named William. She died at the age of 45 on July 30th, 1331 in Swansea.1 General Notes

Only child of Lord de Braose, landholder in Sussex and the Gower.
Edward took all [Alice's deceased husband] John's lands into his ownhands, imprisoning the widow Alice and son John in the Tower of London.Under pressure Alice disclaimed her inheritance in Sussex, regranted tothe Despencers now back in favour. Her husband had not lived to seeEdward II come to his grisly end in 1327 in the dungeon of BerkeleyCastle, Gloucestershire. In the next reign Alice obtained confirmation ofGowerland to herself and the heirs of her body by her deceased husband.Lady Mowbray married secondly Sir R. de Peshale and died in 1332.
