Sarah Ann DOWDLE 
Sarah Ann was born on January 31st, 1828 in Russellville, Franklin, Al. Sarah Ann's father was Robert DOWDELL and her mother was Sarah Ann ROBINSON. Her paternal grandparents were James DOWDLE and Ann PICKENS; her maternal grandparents are Hugh ROBINSON and Elizabeth Jane PORTER. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Absalom Porter, Robert Hughes, James Pickens, John Clark, William Franklin, Elvira, Caroline and Martha Jane. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 80 on December 3rd, 1908.General Notes
