Robert Hughes DOWDLE 
Robert Hughes was born on April 6th, 1830 in Moulton, Lawrence, Al. Robert Hughes' father was Robert DOWDELL and his mother was Sarah Ann ROBINSON. His paternal grandparents were James DOWDLE and Ann PICKENS; his maternal grandparents are Hugh ROBINSON and Elizabeth Jane PORTER. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Absalom Porter, James Pickens, John Clark, William Franklin, Elvira, Caroline, Martha Jane and Sarah Ann. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 77 on October 29th, 1907 in Franklin, Franklin, Id. He was buried on November 1st, 1907 in Franklin Cem, Franklin, Franklin, Id.General Notes
