Joseph Holmes DESHA

Joseph Holmes was born on December 9th, 1768 in , Monroe, Pa.  Joseph Holmes' father was Robert DESHA and his mother is Eleanor WHEELER.  His paternal grandparents are Robert DESHA and Mary Elizabeth EVERFIELDT; his maternal grandparents were Joseph WHEELER and Maria Holmes. He had six brothers and five sisters, named John, Benjamin, Robert, James, Robert, Benjamin II, Nancy, Eleanor "Nelly", Mary "Polly", Phoebe Ann and Elizabeth "Betsy".  He was the fourth oldest of the twelve children.  He died at the age of 73 on October 11th, 1842 in Georgetown, Scott, Ky.  He was buried in Georgetown Cem, Georgetown, Scott, Ky.
