His paternal grandfather was SAMUEL DAVIS and his paternal grandmother is MARY ?; his maternal grandfather was JOHN EMBREE and his maternal grandmother is MARY EMERY. He had three brothers and six sisters, named AMOS, SAMUEL, BENJAMIN, RACHEL, RHODA, MARY, SIBILLA, SARAH and LYDIA. He was the fifth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 65 on March 4th, 1853 in WEST MILTON, OHIO.General Notes
