Charles was born in 1673. Charles' father was Richard Cheney and his mother is Eleanor Pindle Cheney. His paternal grandfather was Richard Cheney and his paternal grandmother is Ann (Ellinor) Cheney. He has three brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, John, Richard, Sarah, Katherine and Charity. He had a half-brother and three half-sisters, named Richard, Elizabeth (Cheney), Anne and Mary.-
