Sarah Catherine was born on February 23rd, 1831 in , Wayne, Indiana. Sarah Catherine's father was Joseph COX and her mother was Mary (Polly) RUE. Her paternal grandparents were John COX and Catherine CULL; her maternal grandparents were Richard RUE and Elizabeth (Railsback) HOLMAN. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Richard Rue, John Washington, Sanford Cull, Joseph Bird, Jesse Lewis, Jeremiah Littleton, Augustus David, Rachel and Mary A.. She was the youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 52 on July 25th, 1883.General Notes
