Mary A. was born on April 9th, 1824 in , Wayne, Indiana. Mary A.'s father was Joseph COX and her mother was Mary (Polly) RUE. Her paternal grandparents were John COX and Catherine CULL; her maternal grandparents were Richard RUE and Elizabeth (Railsback) HOLMAN. She had seven brothers and two sisters, named Richard Rue, John Washington, Sanford Cull, Joseph Bird, Jesse Lewis, Jeremiah Littleton, Augustus David, Rachel and Sarah Catherine. She was the second youngest of the ten children. She died at the age of 85 on October 21st, 1909 in Burwell, Garfield Co, Nebraska.General Notes
