William COTTON 
William was born in 1653 in Portsmouth, Rockingham Co., New Hampshire. William's father was William COTTON and his mother was Elizabeth HAM. His paternal grandfather was John COTTON; his maternal grandparents were William HAM and Honor STEPHENS. He had five brothers and a sister, named John, Solomon, Thomas, Joseph, Benjamin and Sarah. He was the second oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 84 on June 6th, 1737 in Portsmouth, Nh.General Notes
