James CHILD

James was born on April 7th, 1823 in Idle, Yrkshr, Engl.  James' father was William CHILD and his mother was Elizabeth BATTERSBY. He had six brothers and three sisters, named Thomas, William Battersby, William Barker, John, Ebenezer, Joseph, Sarah, Mary Ann and Elizabeth.  He was the third oldest of the ten children.  He died at the age of 23 in November 1846.
