John Amos Bewley

John Amos was born on September 15th, 1907 in Lodi, Marion Co.,Texas. John Amos' father was James Holbert Bewley and his mother was Addie Lou Garrett. His paternal grandparents were John Wesley Bewley and Rutha Hathaway. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Reuben, Garrett, Wesley, Era, Ruth, Elizabeth and Anise. He was the third oldest of the eight children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Arthur and Ady Octavy. He died at the age of 85 on June 29th, 1993 in Enid, Garfield C., Oklahoma.
