Patience Betts

Patience was born in 1726 in Pitseck Creek, Bucks County, Pennsylvania.¹ Patience's father was Thomas Betts and her mother was Susannah Field. Her paternal grandparents were Thomas Betts and Mercy Whitehead. She had four brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Daniel, Zachariah, William, Sarah, Mercy, Miriam and Jane. She had four half-brothers and two half-sisters, named Thomas, John, Stephen, Thomas, Ann and Susannah.
