John BOWNE 
John was born on April 1st, 1664 in Of Matteawan, Middleton, New Jersey. John's father was James BOWNE and his mother was Lydia HOLMES. His paternal grandparents were William (Bound) BOWNE OR BOUND and Mrs. Ann BOWNE; his maternal grandparents were Obadiah HOLMES and Katherine HYDE. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Obadiah, James, William, Andred, Samuel, Catherine, Deborah, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the second oldest of the ten children.
