Benjamin BENTLEY 
Benjamin was born on September 24th, 1776 in Litchfield, Litchfield, Connecticut. Benjamin's father was Greene BENTLEY and his mother was Dianna STRAIT. His paternal grandparents were William BENTLEY, IV and Bathsheba Noyes GREENE; his maternal grandparents were Thomas STRAIGHT and Herodias GARDINER. He had a brother and twelve sisters, named Green, Diana, Sheba Eunice, Rhoda, Elizabeth, Hannah Humility, Eunice, Sarah, Rhoda, Mary Elizabeth, Phebe, Deborah Sarah and Dianna. He was the sixth youngest of the fourteen children. He died at the age of 77 in 1853.General Notes
