His paternal grandfather was Thomas BEESON and his paternal grandmother is Ann PECKE; his maternal grandparents were Isaac PENNINGTON and Mary Penington Penington PROUDE. He had five brothers and five sisters, named William, Edward, Richard, William, Isaac, Elizabeth, Ann, Rachel, Ann and Mrs. Elizabeth. He was the oldest of the eleven children.
