Thomas was born in 1825. Thomas' father was Sion Bradford BASS and his mother is Sallie PHILLIPS. His maternal grandfather was Benjamin PHILLIPS and his maternal grandmother is Lydia *PHILLIPS. He had five brothers and four sisters, named Edward Price, Elias Benjamin, Preston, John B, Sion Bradford, Eliza, Mary Ann, Margaret Malissa and Emily. He is the second oldest of the ten children.-
