Cause of death--Disease of the head
From Steve Bacon report:
The entry for Jonathan in the 1840 Census shows 001001-22201.
This indicates that the head of household, Jonathan was 30-40
years old at the time of the 1840 Census. According to the 1840
Census, residing in the same household were one male age 10-15;
and seven females with two age 0-5, two age 5-10, two age 10-15,
and one age 20-30. The oldest female was probably his wife.
This correlates reasonably with the sexes and birth dates of the
children shown.
The 1850 Census says Jonathan was 49 and born in TN. His wife
Deborah, and nine children are identified by name and age.
The will of Jonathan Bacon reads as follows:
'December 20, 1859. Wife Deborah. Minor children to have their
schooling. Sons John and Joseph Bacon--land adjoining John
Muncey. Children: John, Joseph Bacon, Ellendind Brown, Dicey
Douglas, Lyddian Keefauver, Nancy Galloway, Martha, Catharine,
