Viella Avelia was born on April 15th, 1879 in Chester, Sanpete, Utah, USA. Viella Avelia's father was Redick Reddin Allred and her mother was Eliza Elvira Allred. Her paternal grandparents were Redick Newton Allred (Twin) and Lucy H. Hoyt; her maternal grandfather was Reuben Warren Allred and her maternal grandmother is Lucy Ann Butler. She had two brothers and eight sisters, named Ervin Reddick, Vern Henry, Druzilla Eliza, Evinda Elvira, Lucinda Azelia, Clara Lucinda, Della Cynthia, Stella Martina, Tressa Amilia and Bertella. She was the fifth oldest of the eleven children. She died at the age of 80 on July 24th, 1959 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, USA.-
