Redick Newton was born on February 21st, 1822 in Farmington, Bedford, Tennessee, USA.  Redick Newton's father was Isaac ALLRED and his mother was Mary Calvert.  His paternal grandparents were William ALLRED and Elizabeth THRASHER. He had eight brothers and four sisters, named John Calvert, William Moore, Reddin Alexander, James Riley, Paulinus Harvey, Joseph Anderson, Isaac Morley, Sidney Ridgon, Elizabeth Martin, Nancy Weakly, Sarah Lovisa and Mary Caroline.  He was the seventh oldest of the thirteen children. He had a half-sister named Matilda Stewart.  He died at the age of 83 on October 10th, 1905 in Chester, Sanpete, Utah, USA.  He was buried on October 13th, 1905 in Spring City Cem, , Sanpete, Utah, USA.
