Robert Asbury ALLISON 
Robert Asbury was born on May 11th, 1840 in , Gibson, Tennessee. Robert Asbury's father was Robert ALLISON and his mother was Nancy Thaxton. His paternal grandparents were John ALLISON and Mary SHAW; his maternal grandfather was John Thomas Thaxton and his maternal grandmother is Rachel Brooks. He had four brothers and seven sisters, named John Wesley, James Wilburn, Drury King, Joseph Eli, Mary Jane, Elizabeth Ann, Rachel Caroline, Amanda Matilda, Harriett Emily, Hily Almedia and Nancy Narcisse Irvin. He was the fifth youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 55 on March 2nd, 1896.General Notes
