Ralph was born in 1250 in Greystoke, Cumberland, England. Ralph's father was William Fitzralph and his mother was Joan De Greystoke. His paternal grandfather was Ralph Fitzwilliam; his maternal grandparents were Thomas De Greystoke and Christian Veteripont. He had a brother named Geoffrey. He was the younger of the two children. He died at the age of 67 on February 11th, 1317.-
