Isabel was born in 1166 in Ferrieres, Normandy.1   Isabel's father was William Robert (Walkelin) De Ferrers and her mother was Goda De Toeni.  Her paternal grandparents were Robert De Ferrers and Margaret Peverel; her maternal grandparents were Roger III De Toeni and Ida (Gertrude) D'hainaut. She had a half-brother and seven half-sisters, named William, Ermintrude, Millicent, Margery, Elizabeth, Agatha, Petronella (Pernell) and Eleanor.  She died at the age of 74 on April 29th, 1240.  She was buried in Lechlade.1 1

‌Isabel and Roger were married in a religious ceremony in Wigmore, Herefordshire, England.1   They had a son and a daughter, named Ralph and Joan.
