Oliver la was born about 1250 in <, Ashby de La Zouch, Leicester, England>.1   Oliver la's father was Alan de la Zouche and his mother was Ellen de Quincy. He had five brothers and three sisters, named Roger la, Eon La, William la, Alan la, Henry la, Helene la, Maude la and Mary La.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.
