Duke of Monschou was born in 1180 in <Limburg, Limburg, Belgium, Netherlands>.1 Duke of Monschou's father was III Henry and his mother was Sophie von Saarbrücken. His paternal grandparents were Henri II Duke Of Limburg and Maud Duchess Of Limburg; his maternal grandparents were Simon I Saarbrucken and Mathilda von Sponheim. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Simon von, Heinrich von, Friedrich von, Gerhard II von, Judith von, Mathilde von, Maria von, Sofie zu and Isalda zu. He was the third youngest of the ten children. He died at the age of 46 on July 2nd, 1226 in Rolduc, Luxembourg, Luxembourg, Luxembourg. He was buried in Roldue.2 1 General Notes
