Daniel was born in Koein, Rheinland, Prussia.1 Daniel's father was Nicolaes Varleth and his mother was Francina Jacobs. His maternal grandfather was Abraham Jacobs. He had two brothers and a sister, named Casper, Pieter and Catherina. He died in Duinkerken, Belgium.1 General Notes
