William H. C. II was born in 1628 in Lancashire, England.1 William H. C. II's father was Rev. William Thompson and his mother was Abigail Collins. His maternal grandparents were John Collins and Wagger. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Eleazer, Joseph, Benjamin, Samuel, Mary, Helen Eleanor, Mary Elinor and Hannah. Rev. William Thompson II
Harvard Grad 1653. Moved to Surry Co. VA in Sept 1644. He was invited to settle at Springfield.
He was a minister to the Pequot Indians. He resided in New London CT before moving to Surry Co. VA
He was minister in Springfield, MA 1654-1656. Purchased land in Stonington arrived there 12-20-1656. He went to Virginia in 1662. When in New England he was a Congregational minister, and in Virginia he was an Episcopal clergyman.. He was at Southward and Lawn's Creek parishes.. He went from Surry to Westmoreland around Oct 1688. His son John was the only one to stay in Surry.
John sold tobacco for his father Westmoreland Co., 1691. On 9-29-1695 Wiliam received deed from Bunch Roe of Westmoreland Co for 180 acres. of land
There are many references to The fact that Rev William Thompson of Surry Co., VA. was the same person as Rev William II Thompson. Savage .
