Robert was born about 1223 in Of, Raby With Keverstone, Staindrop, Durham.1 Robert's father was Geoffrey Fitzrobert De Neville and his mother was Joan (Margaret) Monmouth. His paternal grandparents were Robert Fitzmaldred and Isabel De Neville; his maternal grandfather was John Monmouth. He had two brothers and a sister, named Geoffrey, John and Agnes. He was the oldest of the four children. He died on August 20th, 1282. He was buried in Church Of The Friars, Minor, Yorkshire, England.1 1 General Notes
