Daniel II Knowles 
1 Daniel II's father was Robert Knowles and his mother was Abigail Smith. His paternal grandparents were Daniel I Knowles and Hannah Hazard. He had three brothers and four sisters, named Ebenezer, James, Jeremiah, Hannah, Penelope, Sally and Abby. He died on October 1st, 1833 in South Kingstown Rhode Island.1 General Notes

Daniel Knowles, 2nd, (1752-1833) was a colonial soldier in the
Revolutionary War. He applied for a pension on September 3, 1832. His
claim was allowed. Residence at the time of application was North
Kingstown. (He and wife Sarah Potter lived at one time on the Casey Farm
in North Kingstown.) At the time of enlistment, residence was Hopkinton,
R.I. He was a soldier in General Sullivan's Expeditiion to the island of
Rhode Island. He served under Captains George Thruston and Stephen
Babcock, also under Colonel Joseph Noyes.
