Tabitha was born about 1625 in Milton, Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA.1 Tabitha's father was Stephen Kingsley and her mother was Marie Elizabeth Spaulding. Her paternal grandparents were John Kingsley and Katherine Butler. She had two brothers and three sisters, named Samuel, John, Eleanor, Kingsley and Mary. She was the oldest of the six children.
