John was the rector and parson of Eastwell. Births of his last 5 children, the burial of his daughter Priscilla, and the marriage of his son John and Mary Osborne are recorded in the House Entries in the Bishop's Transcripts of Eastwell, County Kent. The transcipt for the birth of his son John in 1603 is signed by John House as rector, and is the earliest transcript bearing his signature. Four other children were born before he settled there. His will was written a week before his death which was 30 Aug 1630 and proved 8 Sep 1630 in the Court of Canterbury, vol. 49, fo. 806, by his wife who was the sole executrix.
