Known as John Hammond the fuller and cloth manufacturer. His will is on file at Bury St. Edmunds (Folio 278). Little else is known of him except the mention of his house in Melford in the will of his son John, who appears to have been his only son.
John and Johanna were married in a religious ceremony about 1505 in Melford, Suffolk, England.1 They had a son and two daughters, named John, Johanna and Maryann.
