Countess of Andechs was born about 1185 in of, Andechs, Oberbayern, Bavaria.1 Countess of Andechs' father was Berthold of III Andechs-Meranien and her mother was Countess of Rochlitz Agnes. Her paternal grandparents were Berthold of Istrien and Hedwig of Wittlesbach; her maternal grandparents were Dedo V 'Der Fieste' Count Groitzsch Rochlitz and Mathilde Von Heinsberg. She had a brother and two sisters, named Otto of I, Hedwig of and Miss Princess of. She was the youngest of the four children. She died on September 28th, 1213.1 General Notes
