John Jacob was born on August 24th, 1862 in Iowa.1 John Jacob's father was Jacob Janson Fluth and his mother was Dswer Hagan Aaren. His paternal grandparents were Freede Fluth and Hiske. He had a brother and three sisters, named Henry J., Clara, Anke (Annie) and Lena. He was the third oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 75 on October 15th, 1937.1 General Notes
