Fred G. was born in 1878 in German Township, Grundy County, Iowa.1 Fred G.'s father was Tjark Fluth and his mother was Jantje. His paternal grandparents were Freede Fluth and Hiske. He had three sisters named Hiske, Hiemke and Janje. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died at the age of 76 in 1954.1 General Notes
