Anna was born about 1068 in Constantinople, Turkey.1 Anna's father was Andronikos Dukas and her mother was Marija Bulgaria. Her paternal grandparents were ***Prince Of Byzantine Empire Dukas Ioannis and Irini Pegonitissa; her maternal grandparents were Trajan Bulgaria*** and daughter of Romanos Aballantes. She had two brothers and two sisters, named Michael Dukas, Ioannis Dukas, Irina Dmitrievna and Theodora Dukaina. She was the second youngest of the five children. She died before 1136.1 General Notes
