Count of Groitzsch was born about 1154 in of, Groitzsch, Leipzig, Saxony.1 Count of Groitzsch's father was Dedo V 'Der Fieste' Count Groitzsch Rochlitz and his mother was Mathilde Von Heinsberg. His paternal grandparents were Konrad 'Der Meissen and Of Lower Lusatia and Countess of Swabia Luitgard; his maternal grandparents were Goswin of II Heinsberg-Valkenburg and Adelheid of Sommerschenburg. He had four brothers and a sister, named Count of Groitzsch, Margarve of Lower Lusatia, Count of Groitzsch, Count of Groitzsch and Countess of Rochlitz. He was the second oldest of the six children. He died on June 13th, 1207 in near, Wurzburg, Unterfranken, Bavaria. He was buried in Wechelsburg, Leipzig, Saxony.1 1 General Notes
