Fromond I was born about 0910 in Sens, Yonne, Burgundy, France.¹ Fromond I's father was Garnier De Sens and his mother was Teutberga De Arles. His paternal grandfather was Richard (Troyes) De Sens; his maternal grandparents were Theobald I De Arles and Bertha De Lorraine. He had a brother and two sisters, named Hugh, Teutberge and Berta. He was the second youngest of the four children. He died about 0915.¹
