Robert de Scales, 2nd baron, was summoned to parliament from 3 November, 1306, to 14 March, 1322. This nobleman being made a knight of the Bath with Prince Edward and several others, attended him in the expedition made, at that time, into Scotland. He was also summoned as a peer to the coronation of Edward II. His lordship m. Evelina, dau. of Hugh de Courtenay, and sister of Hugh, Earl of Devon, and dying in 1322, was s. by his son, Richard de Scales, 3rd baron.
