Beatrice was born about 1100 in Deddington, Oxfordshire, England.1 Beatrice's father was Roger De Chesney and her mother was Alice De Langetot. Her paternal grandparents were Ralph Sire De Quesnay and Maud Waterville; her maternal grandfather was Ralph De Langetot. She had five brothers and three sisters, named Hugh, William, Roger, Ralph, Robert, Isabel, Hawise and Miss. She was the fourth youngest of the nine children. She died about 1170.1 General Notes
