Sir Henry Champernowne 
Sir Henry was born about 1274 in Clist Champernon, Devonshire, England.1 Sir Henry's father was Sir William Champernowne and his mother was Joan De Ferrers. His paternal grandparents were Sir Henry Champernowne and Dionisia English; his maternal grandparents were William De Ferrers and Matilda of Otterham. He had two brothers and two sisters, named Reginald, John, Margaret and Dionisia. He was the second youngest of the five children. He died in 1330.1 General Notes
